you receive training in the concepts and creative skills needed to work with digital media – for example 2D graphics, typography, interaction, animation, video and sound. and leave equipped able to work across a wide range of career paths

you will study at Kingston College for three years in brand new high specification computer labs, with access to fully equipped TV and photographic studios, 3d and print workshops, music and sound studios and the on site Penny School Gallery and be taught by skilled and experienced staff from a range of relevant educational and vocational backgrounds

we offer an intense and supportive learning environment in which to continue your studies with structured lecture and workshop sessions and open access

through the first year of the course, you are introduced to 2D and 3D animation and gain an understanding of how changes in technology impact on society
you learn how to create, source, and modify digital images and apply these abilities within the context of design for the digital art and media

the second year investigates different approaches to interface design and develops abilities in its production, building on skills in 2D and 3D animation and developing experience of all aspects of interactive game play design

during the third year you acquire a high level of competence in the design of media rich presentations, the use of special effects, the production of animated short films and undertake a large, ambitious self directed final project to complete the Degree
